What to expect from Sony Alpha in 2020

While Nikon and Canon were launching new DSLR cameras, Sony was busy concentrating all their resources on developing their Mirrorless Camera System. Sony clearly understood Mirrorless is the future and put out cameras after cameras under SonyAlpha branding. Thanks to this early vision, they got a head start in the mirrorless camera market. The Sony A6000 Mirrorless Camera with an APS-C crop sensor ( even though ship with the worst Kit lens on any camera ) became an instant hit. It was replacing two cameras - Nex 6 and Nex7. I myself bought one in 2015 and was amazed by how lightweight and easy to carry around this camera is. Sony released many more in the A6000 series after that - A6300, A6500, A6600, A6400, and A6100. All were received quite well, except the A6300 which had some severe heating issues during long 4K recording. Sony Alpha A7S3 Coming Soon with 4K@120fps, Cooling Vent

According to SonyAlphaRumours , the next gen Sony Alpha A7S model will come with some impressive specs. Some of these specs are completely new to Sony Alpha line of cameras. Unlike A7 and A7R variants, A7S model is aimed at videographers and is known for it's high res video recording capabilities even in low light, high ISO scenarios. Older A7S first and second gen variants only had 12MP sensors. That's going to change with the upcoming A7S III model. According to reports, Sony A7S3 will feature a completely new Sensor with higher resolution pixels, probably more than the regular 12MP sensor we have seen on older A7S cameras. Sony A6000 and A5100 have been available in the market for a while. They are launched in 2014. However, they are still good cameras to buy if you are just starting out in photography or want to buy your first mirrorless camera. Sony, unlike Canon and Nikon, love to introduce newer cameras before the previous gen models have become old enough. As a result, Sony Alpha cameras are now become abundant offering different features sets - some are affordable and good for beginners while others are tailor-made for Pro users. Sony mainly has 3 Sony Alpha cameras in the market. Full Frame, APS-C and 1 inch sensor RX Series. Sony has just launched A6100 and A6600 to the market. We already have A6000, A6300, A6400 and A6500 - all are still sold online. Sony makes a wide variety of mirrorless cameras for the masses. Their most popular cameras currently are the A6000 series and A7 Series . Sony also makes Cybershot point and shoot cameras as well as some high quality RX series cameras. In the Sony Alpha A6000 series, there are currently 4 cameras available in the market - A6000, A6300, A6400 and A6500 . All these cameras have APS-C size sensors which are one level below Full Frame sensors seen on A7 series of cameras. The oldest one and the cheapest one in the lineup A6000 is the most popular in the series and are still available to purchase. Is it worth buying this in 2019 ?  If you are able to buy A6000 for around 35K-40K with kit lens, i would say it's a good buy. It doesn't come with 4K support. The camera is lightweight and compact, so easy to carry around.  Sony A6300 - the successor to A6000 can shoot 4K videos. However, i would highly recommend you stay away from this model as it is notorious for over heating
