Google's Pixel phones are quite expensive. Not everyone could afford one. Especially in countries like India, oems like OnePlus offered much better spec'ed phone for almost half the price of Pixel. To get more customers to buy a Pixel phone, Google launched two mid-range Pixel phones last year - Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. Pixel 3a was launched for a price of $399 in the US. It was quite well received thanks to it's great camera with Nightsight. However, outside US, the launch price was way higher. In India, Pixel 3a was launched at a price of Rs 39,999 ( Around $570 ). Indian customers can buy phones with flagship Qualcomm processors for much lesser price. So naturally, Pixel 3a with a mid-range snapdragon processor didn't sell well. The price of Pixel 3a has since fallen. 3a XL now sells for Rs 30,999 ( from Rs 49,999 ) online in India.
