Google Pixel 4A is doomed to fail in India

Google's Pixel phones are quite expensive. Not everyone could afford one. Especially in countries like India, oems like OnePlus offered much better spec'ed phone for almost half the price of Pixel. To get more customers to buy a Pixel phone, Google launched two mid-range Pixel phones last year - Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL.  Pixel 3a was launched for a price of $399 in the US. It was quite well received thanks to it's great camera with Nightsight. However, outside US, the launch price was way higher. In India, Pixel 3a was launched at a price of Rs 39,999 ( Around $570 ). Indian customers can buy phones with flagship Qualcomm processors for much lesser price. So naturally, Pixel 3a with a mid-range snapdragon processor didn't sell well.  The price of Pixel 3a has since fallen. 3a XL now sells for Rs 30,999 ( from Rs 49,999 ) online in India. Google's current flagship Android phone, Pixel 3 XL is now available for a discounted price online in India. It currently sells for a deal price of Rs 54,999 ( check here ). Pixel 3 XL specs and features 6.3 inch QHD+ display Qualcomm Snapdragon 845  3430mAh battery 4GB ram 64GB storage Android Q upgradable  12.2 MP camera with Pixel HDR+ and Nightsight modes 8MP + 8MP Dual front cameras Pixel 3 XL comes with a notched 6.3 Quad HD+ display and comes with the latest Android software Google has to offer. OnePlus 7 Pro vs Google Pixel 3a - Which one to buy ?

Last week, Google has launched a mid-range Pixel phone - Pixel 3A - powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 chipset while OnePlus brought their newest flagship OnePlus 7 Pro to the market a couple of days ago. Pixel 3A will cost you $399 which is quite an acceptable price for a mid-range phone. If you have been wanting to get a Pixel phone to use it's great HDR+ camera and Night Sight mode and didn't want to spend $700+, Pixel 3A will serve you well as it features the same exact camera as it's bigger brother Pixel 3 and 3XL. OnePlus 7 Pro on the other hand has a starting price of $670, but comes with high end Specs and is currently the best value for money flagship phone you can purchase today. If you are living in India, the price difference between these two phones is not big.
