As of this writing, Lightroom Mobile is without any doubt the best Photo Editing App available on both Android and Apple iOS app stores. Adobe has been pushing out new updates and features steadily to the Mobile version of the Lightroom. If you are using this app for the first time, it would surely be confusing a bit. Don't worry, follow this simple guide to start editing your photos on Mobile using Lightroom in no time.  Is it free to use Lightroom Mobile? Yes and No. Adobe allows you to use almost all basic photo editing features for free. Adobe has just released  Lightroom 5.2 for Mobile with some new features. You can now import the presets saved to your device or from connected online services such as Google Drive and use them on your mobile while editing. If you are subscribed to Lrmobile, you can also get support for the latest Cameras and Lenses on Mobile while editing raw images from your DSLR or Mirrorless camera.  How to Import Presets to Lightroom Mobile? First, open an Image in Lrmobile and then click on Presets in the bottom bar. Click on the top 3 dot menu to reveal more options. You can find the Import Presets option there. RawTherapee 5.8 is now available to download and comes with some new features. It now supports CR3 - a raw image format used by Canon DSLRs and Mirrorless bodies. It also comes with a new awesome feature called Capture Sharpening tool which can automatically recover detail lost to lens blur due to diffraction. Lightroom Mobile App is a Free to Download app available on Google Play Store as well as Apple Appstore. Even though this is a subscription based app, all basic editing features are available without the need for a monthly subscription.  By moving a few sliders, you can easily create better looking images out of your DNG raw image ( or jpg images ). Try below basic edits with your photos and see the difference.  Decrease Highlights ( -70 ) Increase Shadows ( +30 ) Increase Clarity ( +20 ) Increase Texture ( +20 ) Increase Dehaze ( +10 ) Vibrance ( +40 ) Saturation ( -10 ) Contrast ( +20 )  Adjust Whites and Blacks to your Taste To see Before and After Edits, just long press on the image in Lrmobile. Almost all Professional Photographers shoot RAW photos. The reason for this is it contains a lot more Data than a regular jpeg file you normally shoot on your phone or DSLR camera. Since a RAW file contains a lot more Data, you can take these files to image processing softwares like Adobe Lightroom and edit them to produce high quality images with better dynamic range and colors. You can adjust a ton of settings and create an image you want, without losing a lot of information. Regular Jpeg (.jpg) files can also be edited, but these files are not made for editing purposes. When you heavily edit a .jpg file, it will lose information and quality, introducing a lot of grain and artifacts in to the images. Basically, it destroys the quality of the photo often. Adobe Lightroom Mobile Version 5 is now out for Android smartphones and tablets. This new version brings some features a lot of users have been asking for. Advanced Export Options is now finally available on LrMobile for Android . Earlier, when you were exporting an image ( Save to Device ) on Lightroom Mobile, you were stuck with just two options. However, if you are gonna ask this question to a Pro photographer, chances are he or she would firmly say "Lightroom Mobile". I have been using LrMobile since it's launch. To enjoy all features, you would need a subscription. However, many basic editing features on Lightroom Mobile are available for Free. You do not need a pro subscription to use editing features like Highlights, Shadows, Sharpening, Noise Reduction, Clarity, Dehaze, Vignette etc. Advanced tools like Graduated Filters, Brush Tools, Healing etc are the ones that are Locked.
