Simple Trick to Extend your Android Smartphone's Battery Life

There’s nothing worse than your phone dying when you need it most. If you’re on the go, a quick way to get more battery life is to lower your screen’s refresh rate. A higher refresh rate looks great, but it really sucks the juice out of your battery. I keep mine at 120Hz for everyday use, but I always switch to 60Hz when I’m traveling so I don’t have to worry about finding an outlet. If you don’t want to manually change the refresh rate every time you leave the house, you can usually set your phone to automatically switch to a lower refresh rate when the battery level gets low. This way, you won’t have to think about it, and you’ll still get the best possible battery life.

Essential Phone Company is Shutting Down

When Andy Rubin founded the company Essential, a lot of tech enthusiasts and Android fanboys were really excited and expected big things from them. After all, this is a company made by the guy who created Android. However, they only released just one phone - the Essential PH-1 and in a blog post today announced they are shutting down the company for the good - " We have made the difficult decision to cease operations and shutdown Essential ". To be honest, we all saw this coming. Many in the tech industry already thought the Essential Phone company is Dead when no new smartphones from them surfaced. The 2nd phone from them was canceled as well. Then, in October 2019, out of the blue, Andy Rubin tweeted about a new Essential phone - Project Gem. What to expect from Android Smartphones in 2020 ?

The year 2019 saw a flurry of Android Smartphones with a lot of innovative and new features built in. The iPhone X like Notch, which became a 'Feature' on almost all devices during the later part of 2018 is now slowly fading out, in favour of punch hole displays and pop-up cameras.  Fingerprint scanners have come a long way as well. Those early, very slow, under the display scanners have now replaced by faster, bigger and accurate ones. Some manufactures like Huawei and Xiaomi are even bringing side mounted fingerprint scanners to the market to stand out from the crowd. The Year 2019 also saw the rise of Realme Mobiles - a child of Oppo Mobiles. Realme is eating into the market share of Xiaomi in India as they are selling smartphones with aggressive pricing strategy like Redmi. They are also launching new phones every few months, and selling them via Flash Sales on Flipkart and Amazon.in. One of the most talked about event of the Year 2019 was surely the Huawei Ban by Tr
