Sony has officially announced A9 II ( Mark 2 ILCE9M2/B  ), an upgraded variant of their flagship A9 camera which was launched in 2017. The A9 Series of cameras are aimed at professional action and sports photographers and are the most expensive ones in the Sony's Mirrorless lineup.  Older A9 will still be available to purchase and recently gained some new features via a firmware update. Sony has launched the A9 Mark 2 so that professionals can have the best Sony camera to shoot Olympics 2020 in Japan.  So what has changed in the 2nd gen variant ? A9 II has the same sensor as the older A9 - so the image quality remains the same. However, the newer Bionz X processor and a newly developed Algorithm on the Mark 2 improves Auto Focus and Subject Tracking. Older A9 has one of the best Auto Focus and Tracking in the mirrorless camera world. This updated variant is gonna top even that !
