There are a lot of Photo Editing Apps available online on Google Play Store. Some are Paid while some are completely Free to use. Out of all those numerous apps, there are two mobile apps that every Instagram / Social Media user is aware of and uses often for their needs - Adobe Lightroom Mobile and Snapseed.
Snapseed, even though owned by Google, wasn't developed by them. Google hasn't cared to update this app for an almost an year now ( as of this writing ). Lightroom Mobile on the other hand has seen numerous software updates and are actively developed. While Snapseed is completely free, Lightroom Mobile is subscription based. However, most features on the LrMobile are available to use without any subscription, only Advanced Pro features like Healing, Perspective Correction, Selective adjustments etc are restricted to use.
So Which is the best Photo Editing App available for Android Mobile ? I would say Lightroom Mobile is far ahead of Snapseed at this moment. It doesn't mean Snapseed is bad. LrMobile simply is more complete and feature rich compared to Snapseed.
Advantages Adobe Lightroom Mobile has over Google Snapseed

Advantages Adobe Lightroom Mobile has over Google Snapseed
- Complete, better RAW editing support. If you have subscription, you can even edit RAW images from your DSLR and Mirrorless cameras and apply lens corrections and all.
- Tools like Clarity, Dehaze, Texture etc are missing on Snapseed
- Noise Reduction and Sharpening which are necessary tools for RAW editing are available on LrMobile, but missing on Snapseed
- In build Camera app with a Free Pro Mode as well as HDR mode
- Photos Syncing - if you have subscription, you can sync your photos to the cloud and use/edit them on desktop as well as on mobile.
- Optics support - Lens Profile Corrections, Chromatic Aberration Correction
- Better Selective Editing option - Brush, Gradient, Radial tools
- Snapseed doesn't have the option to adjust Whites and Blacks in a photo while Lightroom offer full set of basic editing features even without subscription.
- Profiles & Presets available
RAW support on Snapseed is just bad. Like i said, if / When Google decides to update Snapseed, it should receive better RAW editing support and tools like dehaze, clarity, noise reduction, sharpening etc would be available as well. Until that happens, Lightroom Mobile is without any doubt the better of the two and have more features a photographer uses on a daily basis.
