Adobe Lightroom Mobile Version 5 Update is Out | Advanced Export Options now Available

Adobe Lightroom Mobile Version 5 is now out for Android smartphones and tablets. This new version brings some features a lot of users have been asking for. Advanced Export Options is now finally available on LrMobile for Android.

Earlier, when you were exporting an image ( Save to Device ) on Lightroom Mobile, you were stuck with just two options. You could export the file in Highest Available Quality ( jpeg 100 ) or Limit to 2048px. The version 5 now out offers a lot more options. When you hit the Share button, now you get both 'Save to Device' option as well as 'Export as' option

You can now choose to which image format you want to export your image into. Jpg, Dng, TIF and Original are the ones supported currently. You can also choose the dimensions of the image or enter a custom width. An option to choose the Jpeg Image Quality is now available as well. It also comes with 3 in built export presets for quick saving - Save JPG ( Small ), Save JPG ( Large ) and Save Original.

Under More options in the Export section, you can choose to include or exclude Watermark and EXIF Metadata info. You can also choose your own File Name when exporting. Output sharpening is another new option available which is useful when you plan to print the image. There are 3 options available - Screen, Glossy Paper and Matte Paper. Another new option now available is Color Space. You can choose to export your file in either Display P3, Adobe RGB, sRGB ot ProPhoto RGB depending on your use.

This latest update from Adobe also brings Support for the latest Cameras and Lenses ( only available for Premium subscribers )

[ FIX ] Ubuntu 20.04 Bluetooth doesn't Turn On

I have been using a Logitech Bluetooth keyboard for a while now with my Ubuntu 20.04. Everything worked well without any issues until one day the operating system refused to turn on the Bluetooth. I could toggle Bluetooth On button from the Settings, but it did nothing.  After spending some time Google Searching why my Bluetooth started not working all of a sudden, and after trying a variety of commands to troubleshoot the problem, I finally found a working fix for this issue. Open a Terminal ( Ctrl + Alt + T )  and enter below commands one after another.  sudo rmmod btusb sudo modprobe btusb That's it. Your Bluetooth issue would be now solved.  I can guarantee you this problem is going to pop-up every now and then. So copy the above commands to a text file for future uses. Sometimes, even after entering above commands the bluetooth would refuse to turn on. In such cases, just Suspend the system and then wake up it again and check.

Reduce External Monitor Brightness on Ubuntu 20.04, 21.10

External Monitors are a great addition to any workspace. I have a Full HD Benq one connected with my laptop via HDMI cable to do multi-tasking. What I don't like about this setup is the external screen is still very bright even after setting it to the lowest possible setting via physical buttons present on the monitor. Changing brightness on the Laptop doesn't affect the brightness of the external monitor. However, In Ubuntu, you can adjust the brightness level of any connected monitor by opening up a terminal/command line and entering a few comments. Xrandr is the command we would be using to achieve this.
