The year 2019 saw a flurry of Android Smartphones with a lot of innovative and new features built in. The iPhone X like Notch, which became a 'Feature' on almost all devices during the later part of 2018 is now slowly fading out, in favour of punch hole displays and pop-up cameras.
Fingerprint scanners have come a long way as well. Those early, very slow, under the display scanners have now replaced by faster, bigger and accurate ones. Some manufactures like Huawei and Xiaomi are even bringing side mounted fingerprint scanners to the market to stand out from the crowd.
The Year 2019 also saw the rise of Realme Mobiles - a child of Oppo Mobiles. Realme is eating into the market share of Xiaomi in India as they are selling smartphones with aggressive pricing strategy like Redmi. They are also launching new phones every few months, and selling them via Flash Sales on Flipkart and Amazon.in.
One of the most talked about event of the Year 2019 was surely the Huawei Ban by Trump Administration. Huawei still can't ship Google Apps or Playstore with their new phones. This is not at all a big issue for Huawei in China, but they will struggle selling phones in other parts of the world without the Google Play Store app.
Honor - Huawei's sub brand is also affected by the Trump ban. In India, Honor didn't even launch the Honor 9X ( yet ). The current flagship phone from them - Honor View 30 or V30 Pro is also not expected to launch in India any soon.
Samsung - for a change - decided to launch a value for money device in India - Galaxy M30. It has a 6000mAh battery, AMOLED Full HD display, Triple Cameras and all, and has a very budget price tag of Rs 13,999. It sold really well and was the Best Seller on Amazon.in during Oct 2019.
