Sony has just launched ZV-1 ( DCZV1/B ) - a vlogging camera made for Content Creators and Vloggers. It looks and shoots like an RX100 series camera, but have some welcome additions that will help you to vlog better.

So What's new on the ZV-1 comparing to RX100?
- A flip-out, fully articulating screen ( this is a first on a Sony camera )
- Built-in ND Filter ( newest RX100 variants do not have this anymore )
- A brand new Product Showcase Setting ( you can auto switch focus to an object instantly when you bring a product to the front of the lens - perfect for unboxing and product reviews )
- Directional 3-capsule Mic
- F1.8 - F2.8 aperture
Sony will also be launching a Vlogger Kit (ACCVC1) with this camera, which will have a GP-VPT2BT Bluetooth Shooting Grip and 64GB sd card.
What we expected and didn't get on Sony ZV-1?
- No 4K @ 60fps support
- No Full Touchscreen support ( you can't adjust settings or navigate the menu by touch )
- A wider lens ( 24mm is not that great for vlogging - a 16-30mm would have been great to have )
- No USB Type-C port
- No Headphone jack
In India, there is no official launch date announced yet. The expected price for Sony ZV-1 in India is Rs 64,999.
