Huawei launches Honor X10 5G with Kirin 820 chipset

Even though Huawei is banned from using Google Apps and Play Store, they continue to launch new Android smartphones. The latest one in the line-up is the Honor X10 5G. This is a mid-range smartphone powered by Huawei's own Hisilicon Kirin 820 chipset and ships with Android 10.

Pricing and Availability
Honor X10 5G Price in China : CNY 1,899 ( base model - 6GB ram / 64GB )
Expected Honor X10 5G Price in India: Rs 21,999 ( Launch date: To be announced )
Available in Sapphire Blue, Midnight Black, Titanium Silver, and Fiery Orange colors

Honor X10 5G is the successor to the Honor 9X series. Full view, the bezel-less, notch-less display we saw on the 9X and 9X Pro is on here as well. The panel is still IPS, however, it now supports 90hz refresh rate offering a more fluid display that it's predecessors. One other phone that features an IPS higher refresh rate screen instead of AMOLED is the Poco X2.

There are 3 cameras at the back. The main sensor is a 40MP F1.8 aperture one. Like the 9X, there is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens as well as a 2MP depth sensor next to it. On the front, it sports a 16MP pop-up selfie camera. 4K @ 30fps is the maximum video resolution possible. There is no Optical Image Stabilization ( OIS ) on these cameras, hence Huawei will use EIS stabilization during video recording.

X10 5G ships with a 4300mAh battery. It supports 22.5W fast charging and has reverse charge support as well. The fingerprint sensor is side-mounted which not many OEMs do these days.

Honor has just launched the Honor 9X Pro variant in India at a price of Rs 17,999 ( Launch offer price: Rs 14,999 ). So, there is no chance for them to launch another mid-range device soon in India. Expected Honor X10 India launch date is July 2020.
