Fujifilm India has launched it's latest flagship camera X-T4 in India today at a price of Rs 1,54,999 - Rs 1,99,999. Is it a better buy than Sony A7III ( Mark 3 ) which now sells around Rs 1,34,900 - Rs 1,54,990 in India? Let's compare the specs between these two flagship cameras.
Sony A7 III vs Fujifilm X-T4 - Specs Comparison
A7M3 has a bigger Full frame sensor while X-T4 has a smaller APS-C size sensor. Is it a big deal? A full-frame sensor offers better image quality, depth of field, and low light performance. This doesn't mean XT-4 is a bad camera. It's definitely one of the best in the market in terms of image quality and performance. However, Sony has the edge here.
There are a few things X-T4 can do but Sony A7M3 can't.
XT-4 can record 4K @ 60fps with ease. Sony can't do that yet. It's a shame there is currently no Sony Alpha camera in the market that can do 4K @ 60fps!
So which one to buy? Sony or Fujifilm?
If you have never bought a high-end flagship camera before and doesn't plan to shoot a lot of videos, then get the Sony for the cheaper price. Sony E-mount has far more lenses available comparing to the Fujifilm. Third-party manufactures like Sigma, Tamron, etc make great E-mount lenses as well.
Note: Sony actually takes good 4K videos as well, but the 4K @ 60fps option is a miss. If you don't care about that, then get this instead of X-T4.
If you are looking to buy a perfect hybrid camera - i.e you plan to have one camera that can take great photos as well as great videos, then X-T4 is a great buy. Also, when you look at them side by side, X-T4 is a much better-looking camera to use and you would love the handling and build quality.
