Samsung has finally launched a mid-range, Android flagship phone in India - Galaxy S10 Lite. It comes with Triple cameras at the back and the usual Super AMOLED screen and all. Samsung also priced this quite well in my opinion. The base model has a MRP selling price of Rs 39,999 in India online on Flipkart.
Currently, the most popular Android smartphone in the segement - Rs 30,000 - Rs 40,000 price range - is the OnePlus 7T. It sells for a price of Rs 34,999 online on Amazon.in.
Is Galaxy S10 Lite a better value for money than OnePlus 7T ? Let's check out the best features and specifications of both these flagship smartphones.
Both 7T and S10 Lite have AMOLED displays offering deep blacks and great colors. However, S10 Lite only has a regular 60Hz refresh rate display while OnePlus 7T has a 90Hz display, offering a more fluid UI experience. Samsung is gearing up to launch 2020 flagship S20 Series with 120Hz display, which is going to give much better fluid UI than the 7T on future Samsung phones.
Samsung, in promo images of the S10 Lite, has been talking a lot of about 'Pro Grade Camera for Everyone'. Let's check out the Camera specs between the two.
Galaxy S10 Lite has a Samsung made 48MP F2.0 aperture main sensor while OnePlus 7T features a Sony made 48MP shooter with a faster F1.7 apeture lens. S10 Lite has a secondary 12MP F2.2 ultra wide angle lens as well as a 5MP F2.4 macro lens. 7T on the other hand has a 12MP telephoto lens and a 16MP ultra wide angle lens.
In the battery department, Galaxy S10 Lite has a bigger battery of 4500mAh. 7T only has a 3800mAh battery on board. S10 Lite supports fast charging, but is not as fast as the Warp Charge 30T on the 7T, that charges the battery to 70% in just half an hour.
So overall, both are great phones to buy and have good camera system as well as AMOLED displays.
