Samsung has just launched Galaxy A51 ( SM-A515FZKWINS ) in India, powered by Exynos 9611 octa-core processor. It is priced at Rs 23,999. There is another Samsung smartphone powered by the same processor available in India at half the price - Galaxy M30s ( SM-M307FZBDINS ) - price now at Rs 12,999.
Galaxy M30s has better specs than A51 in some areas. It has a big 6000mAh battery while A51 has a 4000mAh one only. Both come with AMOLED Full HD+ screens. However, A51 features a Infinity-O bezel-less display whileM30s has a waterdrop notch to house the front camera.
So look-wise Galaxy A51 has a more premium feel and built better than the M30s.
Both M30s and A51 sport a 48MP main camera. On the M30s the aperture is set at F2.0 while on the A51, it is a stop faster at F1.8. Both these smartphones feature an ultra wide-angle lens. However, the sensor on the A51 has more MP at 12MP and is for sure offer better quality images. There is a 5MP depth sensor available on both. Galaxy A51 has another 5MP sensor which is a dedicated macro camera.
Galaxy M30s comes with a 16MP Front camera while A51 has double the megapixels at 32MP.
Samsung is launching A51 in India with Android 10 out of the box. It is not clear when Galaxy M30s will get Android 10 update.
For Rs 12,999, M30s is the proof that Samsung too can push out some awesome value for money Android smartphones to compete with likes of Redmi Note and Realme Mobiles priced similarly.
