Mate 30 Pro Feature Highlights
When Huawei launched P30 Pro a few months back, reviewers were very impressed by it's cameras. It has one of the best low light cameras on the market, on par, if not better than Google Pixel 3's night mode. Instead of using a regular RGB sensor like everyone, Huawei chose to use a custom made RYYB sensor, which was able to capture 30% more light, resulting in better low light performance. The same technology returns on the Mate 30 Pro as well.
While likes of Apple is bring triple cameras with 12MP sensors on their new iPhone 11 Pro, Huawei is bringing triple cameras with two 40MP sensors and a 8MP telephoto lens ! That's insane. The regular wide angle camera is a 40MP F1.6 aperture one with OIS while the ultra wide lens is a 40MP F1.8 one. All are Leica branded, which means you can expect high quality optics on board.
Huawei's top end line always features AMOLED screens which is not the case with their Honor flagship variants though. Mate 30 Pro comes with a 6.53 inch Full HD+ curved horizon screen which means there is no longer a bezel on the sides. DCI-P3 is supported as well. It still comes with a Notch at the top housing sensors and the front camera.
As you can expect, Huawei has their latest and fastest 7nm chipset Kirin 990 with Octacore processors on the Mate 30 Pro. There is a 5G variant as well as a non 5G one. Kirin 990 not only offer increased performance and better battery consumption over it's predecessor, it also has increased AI capabilities.
In the battery department, it comes with a 4500mAh battery. 40W Fast charging and 27W wireless fast charging are supported. Huawei Mate 30 Pro is water and dust resistant - IP68.
Huawei is also launching a Mate 30 Pro in collaboration with Porsche Design team with a different back panel design and icons. Check it out below.
