Apple iPhone 11 vs OnePlus 7 Pro Specs Comparison | Which one is a better buy ?

Apple has just launched their new iPhone 11 Series of high end smartphones. The lowest priced iPhone 11 comes with Dual cameras while the high end iPhone 11 Pros come with Triple Cameras. In the Android world, we have OnePlus 7 Pro with some great value for money features. Which one is a better buy ? OnePlus 7 Pro or iPhone 11 ?

Price Difference : iPhone 11 @ Rs 64,900 MRP | OnePlus 7 Pro @ Rs 48,999 MRP

Display - Which has got the Best display ?

OnePlus 7 Pro has a better resolution display.. OnePlus 7 Pro features a 90Hz AMOLED Full HD screen which is much better to look at than the regular HD IPS LCD screen on iPhone 11.

Chipset / Processor

Apple's A13 Bionic chip on the iPhone 11 is the best chipset you can get in a smartphone. OnePlus 7 Pro has got Snapdragon 855 which is also powerful, but iPhone 11's chipset is a bit higher in terms of performance. Are you going to notice the difference in real day to day usage ? Probably not.

Cameras

OnePlus 7 Pro comes with Triple rear cameras - 48MP main camera + 16MP ultra wide angle + 8MP telephoto lens. iPhone 11 on the other hand comes with Dual Cameras only - 12MP main camera and 12MP ultra wide angle. There is no telephoto lens on the iPhone 11 - for that you will have to go for the higher end iPhone 11 Pro.

Battery

Apple's iOS has been always good on batteries, that's the reason why even with a small mAh battery, iPhones over the years performed well in battery tests. However, OnePlus 7 Pro has a bigger 4000mAh battery and comes with super fast WARP charging giving it a clear advantage over iPhone 11.

Operating System / App Ecosystem

Android Play Store used to lag behind iOS Apple Store, but that's not the case any more. You can get almost all popular apps on both platforms. In terms of Operating System updates, Apple is way ahead on any Android OEMs out there as they push updates to older models as well when a new OS version launches. OnePlus 7 Pro will get 2 Years of guaranteed software updates, but it won't get updates on Day 1 of the new Android OS launch.

So which one should you buy ?

If you want a better value for money package, OnePlus 7 Pro is a better buy in my opinion. It has a higher resolution 90Hz display as well as triple cameras. Fast WARP charing is a great addition as well. iPhone 11 is still a great buy - as it comes with the best chipset - the same as it's more expensive brothers iPhone 11 Pro. However, for the price, it should be coming with a higher resolution OLED display.

[ FIX ] Ubuntu 20.04 Bluetooth doesn't Turn On

I have been using a Logitech Bluetooth keyboard for a while now with my Ubuntu 20.04. Everything worked well without any issues until one day the operating system refused to turn on the Bluetooth. I could toggle Bluetooth On button from the Settings, but it did nothing.  After spending some time Google Searching why my Bluetooth started not working all of a sudden, and after trying a variety of commands to troubleshoot the problem, I finally found a working fix for this issue. Open a Terminal ( Ctrl + Alt + T )  and enter below commands one after another.  sudo rmmod btusb sudo modprobe btusb That's it. Your Bluetooth issue would be now solved.  I can guarantee you this problem is going to pop-up every now and then. So copy the above commands to a text file for future uses. Sometimes, even after entering above commands the bluetooth would refuse to turn on. In such cases, just Suspend the system and then wake up it again and check.

Reduce External Monitor Brightness on Ubuntu 20.04, 21.10

External Monitors are a great addition to any workspace. I have a Full HD Benq one connected with my laptop via HDMI cable to do multi-tasking. What I don't like about this setup is the external screen is still very bright even after setting it to the lowest possible setting via physical buttons present on the monitor. Changing brightness on the Laptop doesn't affect the brightness of the external monitor. However, In Ubuntu, you can adjust the brightness level of any connected monitor by opening up a terminal/command line and entering a few comments. Xrandr is the command we would be using to achieve this. How to change External Monitor Brightness on Ubuntu Linux Open a Terminal ( Ctrl + Alt + T ) Enter the command xrandr -q | grep " connected" and press Enter. Find the external monitor name displayed in this command's output. In my case, it is  HDMI-1 To change the brightness enter this command xrandr --output HDMI-1 --brightness 0.5 and press Ente...
