What is an Android One Smartphone ? Pros and Cons

Before Pixel Series Android Phones were introduced, Google used to launch Nexus series of Smartphones whenever a new major Android version came out. Nexus lineup of Android smartphones and tablets were often developed in collaboration with other OEM partners of Android. For eg, Galaxy Nexus was made by Samsung while Nexus 6P came from Huawei's factories. The software on these Nexus phones were maintained by Google and came with unaltered, vanilla Stock Android.  A few years back, Google decided to kill of Nexus line of Android smartphones and launched Google Pixel series focusing on Computational Photography. Unlike Nexus devices, these were made by Google's hardware team. Prior to this, Google also launched Android One program.  So what is Android One program? Oppo Reno 2 with 20x Zoom Launching in India on Aug 28th

Oppo Mobiles is bringing another Super Zoom Android smartphone to the market. They have officially announced Oppo Reno 2 Series, which will launch in India on Aug 28th. Oppo Twitter handles are advertising 20x hybrid zoom. The current Oppo Reno features only 10x ( 5x Optical Zoom ). It is not so long since the first gen Reno mobiles surfaced. So it is likely, the Reno 2 features incremental upgrades than full blown changes. If Oppo could fit in a 10x Optical Zoom on to this, it would be a massive achievement. In my opinion, Oppo is bringing this phone early to the market because of the imminent launch of Huawei Mate 30 Pro which is rumoured to be coming with Quad Cameras and two 40MP sensors. The launch event is scheduled for Aug 28th and guess where it is going to be held.. Delhi. Yes, Reno 2 will be launching in India first before other countries. Specs we know so far 20x Hybrid Zoom Quad Cameras on the back Shark fin pop up front camera Launch Date : Aug 28th
